I am selling this item as part of a household goods clearance. This is a lidded donburi bowl, and its size makes it versatile for serving simmered dishes as well. Upon close inspection, the depiction of the peony flowers and leaves, and the application of the blue dye, vary slightly from piece to piece, giving them a handcrafted feel. There are no noticeable scratches, but it is an item of age. There is some discoloration on the unglazed knob of the lid and the foot (koudai) of the bowl. There is some initial staining on the underside of the lid. Please check the photos. It has been stored in a cupboard. There is no box.
