Borodin "Polovetsian Dances" from "PRINCE IGOR" transcribed for concert band by MARK HINDSLEY The original invoice from the time of purchase is shown in the sixth photo. Purchased in 1991 for 23,072 yen. I bought the full set of this beloved piece with my summer bonus when I was young, thinking "I want to play this someday..." but I ended up retiring from the wind band without ever actually using it. A quick search online shows that it now sells for around 30,000 to 40,000 yen. Regarding the question of "I know it's the Polovetsian Dances, but where does the score start?" please check photo 3. It begins with a presto clarinet solo. This is a set of one full score and 57 part books. Please see photo 2 for the instrumentation. Serial numbers have been written in red ballpoint pen on the upper left of the score and each part book, up to the 57th part (to prevent loss), as shown in photo 5. Also, my personal name stamp (Shachihata) is stamped in three places: on the score cover, above the instrumentation display on the first page of the score, and at the top of the first page of the score itself (^_^;) This was also to prevent loss. I have covered them with blue sticky notes in the photos. I plan to send it as is, but if you wish, I can erase them with correction tape before sending. However, please be aware that there may be a difference in color between the correction tape and the yellowed paper due to aging... The top and bottom of the orange cover paper have been reinforced with paper tape. The cover has scuffs and some tears (photo 8). There is no damage to the other part books, but they are yellowed. The score has some stains on the back cover as I enjoyed looking at it (photo 7). It is in a condition that does not affect use. It has been stored in my home bookshelf for over 30 years. I hope you will use it.
