This is a rental used DVD. The disc recording surface has some sun damage. The viewing was okay, so I'm offering it to someone who just wants to be able to watch it. The case has been replaced with a new one. This film depicts the story of a man, orphaned since childhood, who burns with the fire of revenge for his father's death, and his journey to exact that revenge, intertwined with his love for a Ginza club hostess. Based on the novel of the same name by Seicho Matsumoto, the screenplay was co-written by Haruhiko Mimura, who also directed this film and made his directorial debut with "The Crossing of Amagi," Shigeo Nakakura of "Za-Ondekoza," Yasushi Kato of "The Crossing of Amagi," and Yoshitaro Nomura of "Meiso Chizu."
