This item was purchased new at the end of last year. It is a "Tosoki" (sake serving set) from Yamanaka lacquerware, in Kaga City, Ishikawa Prefecture, one of the "Three Great Lacquerwares of Japan." The difference from inexpensive Tosoki is obvious at a glance, so I recommend a good quality Tosoki like this one. I used it as a decoration, so it has hardly been used.
