Being handmade, it doesn't have the precision of an industrial product. A Google AI image search suggested the closest pattern and color resembled hand-woven Himalayan nettle, but the fringe on this item is very soft, so the material might be linen. The fabric itself is stiff, and the warp threads seem to be made of a softer yarn. It has only been used indoors, draped over furniture. The finely woven areas and the vertical striped sections have a slightly sheer weave. It would suit a table center, a rug, or similar, and would look good in a traditional Japanese house or a wooden building.
