The reddish areas are due to a process where the leather was dyed red, then dyed black, and then the color was partially removed. I liked that effect, which is why I bought it. It's a used item, so it shows some wear, but the leather has become soft, which is characteristic of the material. I think it cost around 23,000 yen when I bought it.
