Both were purchased about four years ago. The Plarail set has some additional pieces, and I think you can build a fairly large course with the tracks. I confirmed that two of the vehicles run. The others may need new batteries. The LEGO blocks haven't been played with much, so I think the contents are pretty much the same as when they were new, but there are no instructions.
