The back has a Velcro closure. The Velcro fastens securely. The fabric is sturdy and there are no tears, but the white fabric has discolored to a brownish hue due to age. While I don't see any stains, there is discoloration on the white tape of the cuffs, chest, and hem. It might become clean if you have it dry cleaned, but it is being sold as is.
