Purchased quite some time ago at "ZONA," a famous雑貨店 (zakka store) that used to have its main store in NY. It was a store with a unique space that mixed雑貨 (zakka), furniture, tableware, gardening goods, iron products, fabrics, etc., from all over the world, setting it apart from other interior shops. Not "international style," but "Santa Fe style" ZONA style! The store no longer exists. This is a hexagonal box with old maps and gold decoupaged onto it. It's a chic, calm, and very beautiful box with sepia-toned old maps and a subdued matte gold. And the hexagonal shape with its rounded legs is an indescribably pop and elegant design. It can be used as a trinket box. It has a medieval Italian feel. It was displayed as interior decor, but has not been used as a trinket box. It was originally made with an antique finish.
