This is a three-tiered jubako (tiered food box) from Zohiko. It's an auspicious jubako with a crane design, featuring a thousand cranes maki-e (sprinkled picture). The moon appears to be nashiji (pear skin), making it a luxurious piece. The color of the cranes varies depending on the individual, as shown in the photos, so please be aware of this as part of its character. It can be used for New Year's osechi (traditional New Year's food), bento lunches, and celebrations. It is made of wood and finished with urushi (lacquer). Approximately 19.5cm square, height approximately 17.5cm (approximately 5.5cm per tier) There are no noticeable chips or cracks, and I believe it is a beautiful item. However, as it is not unused and has been stored for a long time, please forgive any minor scratches, scuffs, or cloudiness. Although this item is in good condition, the shiori (bookmark), tomo-fu (protective cloth), and tomo-bako (original box) show signs of aging, such as damage, dirt, and stains. Also, the inside of the tomo-bako lid has a notation of a service anniversary, date, and company name. Please note that this is not on the main body of the jubako. The tomo-bako will be wrapped in bubble wrap and shipped in a cardboard box. I also have other jubako, such as those from Zohiko, Yamada Heian-do (Heian-do), and Wajima-nuri, as well as toso-zoroi (sake serving set) and bowls, etc., for sale.
