This is a lidded Arita-yaki dish made by Yazaemon of Kinshobai. It was found while decluttering the china cabinet, and I don't remember ever using it. While Yazaemon's dishes often feature Japanese flowers, this one unusually depicts Western flowers. As it is a lidded dish, it can be used for steamed dishes like chawanmushi (savory egg custard) or kabura-mushi (turnip steamed with fish), simmered dishes, or for serving tsukudani (preserved foods) or pickles. The size is approximately 11 cm in diameter and approximately 8.5 cm in height (including the lid and handle). How about adding some color to your dining table? Please consider purchasing it.
