Kandokoro Hon-yaki Yanagiba Knife. I purchased this about 15 years ago through a custom order. It's Hon-yaki, Gin-san steel, with an ebony handle and silver bolster. It's a bit long for my hand and workplace, so I haven't used it much and it's been stored away. As you can see in the image, there's a chip in the handle, but since it's Hon-yaki, it will last a lifetime. If you're concerned, I recommend replacing the handle. I'd like to pass it on to someone who will cherish and use it. The price is high, but the quality is different. How about it for those looking for a lifetime piece?
