Tsuchinoto-mi, which comes once every 60 days, is also the Ennichi (day associated with a deity) of Benzaiten, and because it is rarer than Mi no Hi (Snake Day), it is considered a day of strong luck. Tenkawa Daibenzaiten-sha, the main shrine of Omine, is located at the center of a triangle connecting Koya, Yoshino, and Kumano, which are the three major spiritual sites in Japan. Like Tamaki Shrine, also in Nara Prefecture, it is said that you cannot reach it unless you are called by the gods.
