I am currently sorting through inherited items. This is a matcha tea bowl, a beautiful antique with a dark brown glaze that has lovely pooling and dripping effects, part of my grandfather's collection. He was a collector of antiques. It's an old piece, a work of art, a tea utensil, and an antique ceramic item. It appears to be quite old. A name is inscribed on the bottom. It was carefully stored in a shelf at the back of the tea room in the storehouse, so it is likely a very good item. Size: Width 11cm, Height 6.5cm The dark brown clay has a beautiful gradation of dark brown glaze around the rim, creating a wonderful texture and a very appealing atmosphere. It has an air of elegance, similar to Shidoro ware, but I'm not sure what type of ware it is. As it has a name inscribed, it is likely a good item. There is no box, but I will carefully pack and ship it. Shipping included. ◆About my grandfather's antique collection◆ My grandfather, who was an antique collector, collected these items during his lifetime. They have been found in the storehouse, and I would like to offer some of the good ones for sale. My grandfather was a hospital director in his lifetime and owned many works, including paintings and ceramics by Living National Treasures, and he often boasted about them, so I believe they are all very good items. Neither I nor my mother are very interested in antiques, and we don't know which works are by whom or what type of ware they are. I don't know if the items I'm selling are Imari ware, Kutani ware, Shigaraki ware, or Seto ware. Even if they are wonderful works of art or works by Living National Treasures, or very expensive items, I have no idea of their value.
