In the photos, it looks more brown than black. It has the woven texture unique to tsumugi, and the feel is rough, unlike Oshima. It looks like Oshima, but... this is just my personal opinion. There are fold wrinkles because it was stored in the back of a Japanese chest of drawers with the stitches still attached.
