This is an enamel pot from the long-established German company, Asta. Founded in 1951, Asta was later absorbed by Fissler and went out of business after German reunification. In Japan, Iwatani seems to have been the general agent and imported their products. Enamel is being re-evaluated these days, and Showa-retro items are actively traded. This pot is not only of high quality but also has a beautiful form. It looks like a witch's pot from a fairy tale, and we've cherished it in our home, calling it the witch's pot. I've been a collector for over 30 years, but I've decided to sell this one, keeping only one pattern. This pot was used once on a large fire by my family, and the underside of the handle is slightly scorched. It's not visible unless you turn it upside down, but it's being offered at a reduced price due to this, so please consider this before purchasing. It's enamel, so it's compatible with induction cooktops. You can use it without worry, unlike gas stoves. The diameter of the mouth is 17cm, the circumference is 55cm, and the height including the lid is 15cm, and without the lid is 10cm. These measurements are approximate as they are difficult to measure. It's in beautiful condition, having been used only a few times.
