Waterline Series Aoshima 1/700 Hiryu w/ Etching Parts This is the Hiryu from the Waterline Series. This is the renewed version released by Aoshima with new molds in the 2000s, and this is the Super Detail version released as a limited edition. Etching parts are included, mainly for the mast, antenna, windbreak fences, and aircraft propellers, so a precise finish can be expected. When I purchased it, the hull was significantly warped, so I had a new hull sent from the manufacturer and replaced it about 15 years ago. (Only the plastic bag for the hull parts has been opened.) As this is a product from about 20 years ago, I cannot guarantee that the markings can still be used. It is difficult to obtain now, so how about it for those who have been looking for it or for collectors? The packaging has damage such as scratches, yellowing, stains, and dirt commensurate with its age. It will be wrapped in bubble wrap and shipped in a cardboard box.
