Description Hidetaro Murota Born in Osaka in 1907 (Meiji 40). Graduated from the Special Course of Kyoto Municipal Painting School and studied under Kayo Yamaguchi, a master of modern Japanese painting. First selected for the Autumn Bunten Inspection Exhibition in 1936 (Showa 11), and was subsequently selected for various exhibitions including the Nitten. Specialized in Japanese paintings with animals and flowers and birds as subjects, leaving behind many works that harmonized realism and decorative qualities. Passed away in 1981 (Showa 56) at the age of 75.
