This is a Victor TD-V711 three-head cassette deck, released around 1987. It features a three-head design for independent recording, playback, and erase functions. The drive section employs a three-motor system, including a DD motor, to stabilize tape transport. Other features include two direct input lines for sound quality, an NR DEFEAT circuit, a separate design for the control and audio sections with vibration countermeasures, OFC circuit boards for faithful sound transmission, and the use of new materials, all demonstrating a commitment to sound quality. My first impression upon listening was a clear and rich sound, befitting a legendary machine. This cassette deck has good recording and playback sound quality, but I am selling it because I own multiple units of the same model. ● Accessories: Copy of the instruction manual ● Appearance: The interior and exterior of the chassis have been cleaned, and there are no noticeable scratches or stains; the appearance is good. Please check photos 1-7 for areas where the front panel printing is missing. Maintenance has been performed on moving parts, contacts, heads, and top panel paint. ● Sound: Connected to a pre-main amplifier, the playback sound of cassette tapes recorded on this unit and other units was confirmed to be good, without distortion or noise, through speakers and headphones. ● Operation: The cassette holder illumination lights up when the power is turned on, and there are no missing characters on the LCD display. PLAY/STOP/REC/PAUSE operations are good. Level adjustment for recording and playback (photos 1-2), BALANCE adjustment during line input, and BIAS adjustment are all good. Headphone volume adjustment is also good. Tape monitor and source monitor switching and display, and input selector switching and display are also good. Dolby NR switching (DEFEAT/B/C) is also good, and Dolby HX PRO/MPX FILTER ON/OFF display is also available. The cassette holder opens and closes smoothly. RESET/DISPLAY/TAPE LENGTH/MEMORY/CALL also function. Operation with the remote control I have is also functioning correctly.
