#Hiro Spode Spode Copeland Indian Tree Made in ENGLAND cup & saucer. While the other cup I'm selling has crazing, this one doesn't have any visible crazing on the cup. With earthenware, crazing can cause water to seep in, but I didn't see any water seeping in with this one. I've checked, but most items from this era with this backstamp do have crazing. It has a nice sheen and is a very beautiful item, but there might be very fine crazing hidden. There are some scuffs and paint loss on the rim of the cup. There is a scratch on the inside of the cup handle. I don't think it's very noticeable. Some crazing is visible on the saucer. It's earthenware with a creamy, off-white color, and because of the fine, delicate crazing, the cup might develop a rich flavor like Hagi ware if tea seeps into it. You can occasionally clean it with bleach, and I hope you can appreciate its characteristics and enjoy it to your liking. Please contact me if you want to purchase multiple items. Cup diameter: approx. 9.3cm Height: 5.4cm Saucer diameter: 14.2cm Vintage and antique items often have small black spots, paint loss, small imperfections, and crazing from the manufacturing process. Please understand and accept that these are old items made with different manufacturing methods than today's.
