I made an Akabeko (red cow) with a Japanese bush warbler that came to play with plum blossoms. It's an Akabeko that leisurely celebrates the arrival of spring. Ever since I visited Aizu, my head has been filled with Akabeko. Before I knew it, I was making one. The glossy Akabeko with its wobbly head has a cuteness that makes you laugh. It's a papier-mâché made by layering paper. The neck is attached with thread, and it shakes its head back and forth. This Akabeko tends to face its head to the left. Please check the photos carefully. Please refer to photos 14 and 15 for the size. The weight in the neck may make a rattling sound. Sometimes it doesn't. It is made of materials that are vulnerable to water, so please be careful not to get it wet. If you drop it or shake its neck violently, it may crack, dent, or the neck may come off, so please handle it gently. Direct sunlight will accelerate deterioration. Please enjoy it by placing it in a place away from sunlight. It's fun to place it in a drafty area so its head will shake. This is a handmade product.
