This is a sturdy-looking kabutowari (helmet breaker) with rivets hammered into the blade and a small tsuba (handguard) in place of a hook. It appears to be an antique, but the details are unknown. It has a nice, rich iron texture and no noticeable damage. The handle is wrapped with flat leather cord (beige) for a comfortable grip.
