Thank you for viewing! ARABIA Valencia Tea C/S This is a Valencia tea cup and saucer set, designed by Ulla Procope, who is highly regarded within ARABIA. Valencia features a deep, beautiful cobalt blue with a combination of dots, stripes, and circular patterns, each piece hand-painted. It is a popular series representing ARABIA, loved for nearly 40 years. However, production was discontinued due to the elimination of the hand-painting department, and it is now only available in the vintage market. There are three types of C/S in this series: the smallest demitasse C/S, the less common coffee C/S (also listed), and this, the largest size, the tea C/S. In photo 8, there are scratches, cleaning marks, and cloudiness on the inner bottom. In photos 9-11, there are scratches and small scratches visible depending on the angle, including on the handle and sides. In photo 12, there is some color fading on the bottom, also visible depending on the angle. Photos 13 show the center of the saucer, 14 and 15 the edge, and 16 the back, all with scratches and small scratches overall. Photos 17 and 18 are close-up images of the crazing on the back of the saucer. It is crazing, not cracks, so it won't catch on your nails and feels smooth to the touch, but please check the enlarged images. The scratches are not as noticeable as they appear in the photos, but please refrain from purchasing if you are at all concerned. The price reflects the above condition.
