A hand-sized, circular basket woven from straw. In Aomori Prefecture, it's called "entsuko" or "ejiko" (baby basket), and was once used to cradle infants up to about a year old, wrapped in cloth, and gently rocked to soothe them. This item is a rather rare mini size, and was likely made for dolls or pets as a novelty item.
