Kozan Kobo inherits traditional techniques and methods and crafts ironware by hand. Almost all processes are still done by hand. Therefore, it is impossible to make exactly the same item twice. Each piece has a slightly different expression, making it a one-of-a-kind ironware. Origin of Kozan: It is said that the name comes from the fact that the Nanbu clan kept tigers near Kitayama, Morioka City, the birthplace of the first generation of Kamashi Kozan (Heikichi Kumagai). The current generation is the third. The works mainly feature tea kettles and iron kettles, and the family specializes in the Arare pattern.
