This item was purchased last year for a practical exam at a wine school. Although it has not been used, there are some sticker residue marks on the cap. It seems to be usable for various purposes. The small bottles are glass, and the caps are plastic. When shipping, I will pack it securely with air-cap (bubble wrap).
