I made a large gusseted, book-style tote bag from a fukuro obi with a luxurious roof tile pattern in gold and silver thread on a green background. It is made to be durable for those who carry many items. A thin obi interlining is sandwiched in the outer fabric. It is light and finished firmly. The plain part of the same obi is used for the lining. Two divided inner pockets and a holder for plastic bottles have been added. A magnetic button has also been attached. A bottom board is also included. The handles are finished slightly longer.
