This is a set of Okuizome (first meal) dishes received from a shrine during a Hatsumiyamairi (shrine visit celebrating a baby's birth). Since I used other items, this set is completely unused. I removed the wrapping paper for the photos, but I will put it back as it was when I received it and ship it in that condition. It is lacquerware made using the traditional "Yamanaka-nuri" technique, finished by craftsmen in Kaga, Ishikawa Prefecture.
