GUSTAT blank mouthpiece made by BLACK A HILL. Stamped with B2-8 HO. The rim has an inner diameter of about a Bach 1-1/4C (it is thought to be a copy of the Monette B2 rim, but details are unknown). The cup is a medium size, about the same as a Bach C cup. The blank is exactly the shape of the GUSTAT that Miles Davis loved, but unlike the original, which was short, this one is closer to the length of a standard mouthpiece. The finish, typical of Black Hill, is very beautiful, and it feels like a very well-balanced mouthpiece when played. It gives the impression of having the modern, responsive tone of a Greg Black-esque mouthpiece, combined with the clear and mild character of a GUSTAT. I think it's a very valuable item that you don't see anywhere else. I recently purchased it used, but unfortunately, it didn't quite fit me, so I'm letting it go. I'm selling it at a reduced price from when I bought it. Please judge the condition from the images as it is used, and purchase with your understanding.
