The bottom of the pot has a slight bulge, and it wobbles when placed on a flat surface, but it's stable when placed on a trivet, so I don't think it's too much of a concern. I don't think it can be used with an induction cooktop. When cleaning for the listing, I used a metal scouring pad and caused some scratches. There are also original scratches and stains that couldn't be removed (I stopped scrubbing because I was afraid of causing more scratches, so some dirt remains.
