This is a beautiful Nagoya obi featuring hand-painted peonies on off-white serge. Gold accents are used for the outlines of the flowers, creating an elegant design. Since the peony season is just around the corner, how about incorporating it into your spring coordination? The peonies on the front of the obi have slightly different colors on the front and back; one side has the same color as the otaiko (the back of the obi), and the other side has a slightly orange hue. Like the otaiko, gold accents are used for the outlines of the petals. It would look stylish and sharp paired with monotone stripes or Oshima tsumugi, or it would also be lovely with pale komon or iromuji. You can also create a charming "ojosama" (young lady) look by pairing it with a gorgeous antique kimono. There are some minor stains, but the condition is good for an obi of this pale color. I'm hesitant to part with it, so the price is set a bit high, but I would like to sell it to someone who will appreciate it. ◾️Material: Pure silk ◾️Condition: There are some faint stains on the top of the otaiko and in a few other places, but they are not noticeable when worn as they are on the inside. (Please check the photos) There is a very slight abrasion on the edge of the front obi, but it's barely noticeable unless you look closely. This is a personal inspection.
