Rosanjin Kitaoji (1883-1959) Bizen Bamboo Vase At first glance, it appears to be ordinary Bizen ware, but the presence of what seems to be "crab's eyes" in places suggests that Shigaraki clay may also be included. There are signs of use on the inside, and small chips of uncertain origin (possibly kiln marks or from use) are visible on the outer circumference of the base (images 8 and 9). The box is a combined one. I would like to offer it to someone who will use it.
