Thank you for viewing! This is a Japanese bamboo flute (shinobue) in the Doremi scale (Western scale), eight-hole key (C major). It has 7 holes, but only 6 are used. I purchased it from a flute craftsman on Mercari, but I am selling it to organize my collection of flutes. The specifications at the time of purchase are as follows: Size: Approximately 41-42cm long, 19-21cm in diameter Material: Shinodake (female bamboo) dried for over 3 years and then heat-treated Holes: Inner side coated with synthetic vermilion lacquer (cashew) Outer side: Coated with synthetic transparent lacquer (cashew) Wrapping thread: Ivory color Also, - 12g of lead is inserted inside the head joint for stability adjustment. - Wood putty is used for the mouthpiece reflector, and it is designed not to melt even in the summer heat. - Transparent lacquer (cashew) is applied to the wrapping thread to make it beautiful and long-lasting. I think it is a good flute with a beautiful appearance and tone for the price. I cannot play above the high E with my skill, but it is tuned to produce the notes properly.
