This piece is meticulously crafted with a variety of fabrics and embellishments, including linen, antique fabrics, torchon lace, chemical lace, antique lace, vintage fabrics, feed sacks, motifs, antique ribbons, antique tags, vintage ribbons, Indian embroidered ribbons, Tyrolean tape, and USA cotton. These elements are carefully appliquéd with detailed stitching, incorporating quilting in between layers. The result is a piece with a lot of texture and detail. The base color is ivory, with a gentle color palette. The large embroidered ribbon is particularly charming! Instead of quilt batting, I've used quilting, giving it a substantial thickness, making it a sturdy mat. It's a generous size, so it would also make a striking tapestry. The texture becomes more rustic with each wash. It has been pre-washed after completion. Approximately 54cm x 43.5cm.
