While maintaining its timeless and iconic appearance, Hiroshi Fujiwara's modern touch is added with a relaxed silhouette, striking white front placket and cuffs, and the "sequel" chain stitch on the chest. The base of the cardigan is John Smedley's high-gauge knit, which Hiroshi Fujiwara himself uses on a daily basis. While following classic details such as turn-up cuffs, updates have been made throughout, such as a relaxing silhouette and a front placket and cuffs with contrasting colors. In addition, the logo on the cardigan is based on John Smedley's archive logo used 20 years ago.
