It's a size that can completely hide adult leopard geckos and African fat-tailed geckos. The inside and the unglazed ceramic plate are not painted. Avoid cleaning the painted areas with a hard brush; instead, wash them with a soft brush to keep them clean. I use safe, natural milk paint.
