Born April 1, 1918, in Ashiya Town, Fukuoka Prefecture. He studied oil painting self-taught. First selected for the Dokuritsu Bijutsu Kyokai Exhibition in 1939. Later became a member of the Bijutsu Bunka Kyokai. Participated in the Nika Association at the invitation of Taro Okamoto. Became independent in 1961 and pursued abstract painting in his hometown of Fukuoka Prefecture. Died April 24, 1995, at the age of 77.
