Color can enter the cracks (called "kannyu") and become noticeable. As it is made of clay, the color will change, and the more you use it, the more flavor it will develop. We hope you will nurture it day by day. ■What to do before use First, wash quickly with lukewarm water to remove dirt. You can use it immediately after washing. If you put the dishes in a pot with rice washing water and boil them for more than 20 minutes, let them cool, rinse with water, and dry them, the rice washing water will fill the clay particles, making it difficult for tea stains and stains to adhere. Some dishes have a rough underside (kodai), so if there is a risk of scratching the table, it is recommended to lightly rub it with sandpaper. ■Daily Handling As you use and wash it repeatedly, the clay will tighten and gradually become more durable. Soaking it in water or hot water before use will make it less likely to absorb stains. ■After Use After use, wash quickly with water, lukewarm water, or dish soap, wipe, and dry thoroughly before storing. Be careful as mold and odors can occur if left in dirty water because water can seep in and be difficult to remove.
