While it has a calm feel, the red accents prevent it from being too subdued. Gujō Tsumugi is said to become softer and its colors deepen and gain luster with each wear and repeated washing. Unfortunately, it is no longer in production, making it a rare and almost mythical Tsumugi. I love Gujō Tsumugi and own several pieces. As I have one with a similar color scheme, I would be happy to pass this on to someone who will appreciate it. There are no noticeable stains, dirt, or other damage, and I believe it is in beautiful condition. Although unworn, it has been tried on indoors, so it is not entirely new.
