This is red pine soot ink made only from the soot of Japanese red pine. No dyes or pigments are added. This pine soot ink has a wonderful ink color. Among pine soot inks, it is well-aged and produces a beautiful blue hue. It is a deep black with thick ink and a strong blue-gray tone with diluted ink. I think you can write quite beautiful works, from thick ink for kana and kanji to paintings that make the most of gradation. The bleeding is delicate, and you can create a difference with the base line, giving it transparency and a three-dimensional effect. Please use it for thick ink works of kanji and kana, but it should also perform well in ink paintings and sumi-e paintings that make use of blue gradations.
