I made a large-sized cutting board from American arborvitae. Although it's a large size, it's finished thin and lightweight, so it's popular for being easy to handle. Each one is carefully finished with a plane (super finish). Two pieces of quarter-sawn wood are glued together, making it less prone to warping. Arborvitae is the perfect wood for cutting boards and chopping boards. ○ It has antibacterial properties and is superior in hygiene compared to other materials. ○ It has a unique, indescribable fragrance characteristic of arborvitae. The size and weight are listed in the image. These are approximate sizes. For vegetables, simply wash with water. For meat and fish, which may leave odors, it's best to wash with cleanser or salt. After washing, remove the moisture and dry in the shade. ○ Important Note As it is natural wood, slight warping may occur and revert due to daily humidity, temperature, and seasonal changes. Please understand that there may be minor scratches, etc. If you want to remove dullness, scratches, or stains from the surface of the cutting board, a common method is to wrap sandpaper around a piece of wood, dry the cutting board thoroughly, and then sand it.
