Hotaru Shidare is the daughter of the president of the major confectionery company "Shidare Company." She came from the city to recruit Kokonotsu Shikada's father, Yo Shikada, who is the main character of "Dagashi Kashi," to work for her company. Her dream is to create the world's number one confectionery manufacturer herself. She has extensive knowledge of dagashi (cheap sweets).
