Jeff Redd, along with the producer unit #TheUntouchables, who later led the HIP HOP/R&B world, and #DevanteSwing, just before his debut with the R&B group #Jodeci, produced his first album, "A Quiet Storm" (Uptown, '90), and debuted as a major newcomer with hits like "I Found Lovin'" and "Love High." Following the success of his first album, the highly anticipated second album, "Down Low," was scheduled for release in '93. However, due to the sudden closure of the black music division by the label MCA, the album was transferred to Manhattan/EMI. Although "Show You" was released as a single, with remixes by #MarleyMarl and #LordFinesse, the album's release was postponed just before its release. Only a very small number of copies that couldn't be recovered were released into the market, and that was the end of it... a hidden gem in the shadows of 90s R&B history! Contrary to that tragedy, Jeff's soaring vocals are incredibly wonderful over the production that straddles the line between New Jack Swing and Hip Hop Soul!
