This is authentic Hakata-ori fabric from Chikuzen. Is it meant for a men's obi? It's an old item that has been stored at home. There's a small stain at the beginning. It was rolled up, so the inside is fine. It's hard to tell from the photos, but the color is a greenish hue, like a Japanese bush warbler or perhaps *kusamochi* (rice cakes with mugwort). I'm not good at describing it... I think it would be great if it could be used as obi fabric or for repurposing. It could also be beautiful as a table runner for a Japanese-style room, a noren (split curtain), coasters, or framed. It's a shame to waste it, so I hope someone can use it.
