This is a tsumugi fabric roll with a woven pattern of dark brown and beige. The lower part says "Hatsuzaka, Oshima Tsumugi." It was wrapped around the cardboard core of a newspaper from 1965 (Showa 40) and stored in a wood box lined with aluminum along with other kimonos. The other kimonos were also in good condition. Although approximately 60 years have passed, the condition appears to be good. Looking a little closer, there is some discoloration as shown in the image, possibly due to the threads of the weave. There may be other such areas, so please consider this before purchasing. This fabric could be used for kimonos or other purposes.
