I purchased this item new. The inside is made of a special material impregnated with activated carbon, which was very stiff, so I have washed it several times. The attached hood's face-surrounding elastic has been removed during alterations, and the length has been shortened. Please check the actual measurements. Due to the structure, there is space in front of the neck. It's designed so you can close the zipper all the way up even while wearing a scarf.
