This was dyed and braided when I was attending the Do-myo Koshiki Itogumi-kata Kyosho (Do-myo Ancient Thread Braiding School). It is a complex braid made on a Daimaru-dai (large round stand), and the work is very detailed. There is some yellowing on the tip of one end, but otherwise, I think there are no noticeable stains or fading. If you are concerned, please refrain from purchasing. The paulownia box has some age-related deterioration.
