What is cotton-koba?: It's a material with a rich surface texture, woven with thick cotton threads between thin cotton threads to create a checkered pattern with unevenness. Because of the unevenness, or gradient, it was named "koba" (red plum). It is the highest-grade material for cotton yukata.
