This is a matcha tea bowl from the Kaneto Kiln of Tamba ware. Tamba (Tachikui) ware is a beautiful pottery designated as a traditional craft of Japan. Each piece is handmade, and because it is Tamba ware fired with great care and effort, you can feel the difference in its deep color and texture compared to others. In addition, the head of the Kaneto Kiln, Keiichi Shimizu, has received numerous awards, including selection for the Nitten Exhibition and the Hyogo Prefecture Art Encouragement Prize.
