They are used as the top line in ayu friend fishing and for connecting to the underwater line. I have used them from the beginning of the season to the Kuma River, where I target large ayu, and they have never broken. The brightly colored fluorescent orange also serves as a marker. The W-swivel uses Owner's size 22 swivel. As far as I know, this is the smallest double swivel. Since these are handmade, there may be some variations in the appearance of the root wrapping.
